Evidence of setting up front cover and double page spread

This is evidence of me making the start of my magazine by using Photoshop.
This is evidence of the model signing the Model release form.
This is evidence of me taking photos of my model.
Thumbnails
I only took three images when conducting my photoshoot as I was happy with the photos. In hindsight, to have more options, I should have taken some more to give myself a better variety of pictures to choose from.
Chosen images with codes and conventions
I took this photo as i feel this is really effective as he is looking down and acts like he doesn't know he's being pictured so it could be seen as natural.
In terms of conventions, I chose this outfit because it is quite trendy/fashionable and it links nicely to the genre. It is conventional to the genre and target audience. I chose the glasses as many hip-hop artists have quite a cocky attitude/character, so I followed this convention. It also makes my artist look quite cool. The facial expression also follows this convention. I chose a mid shot because I want to show the emotion of my artist - his serious, moody expression is what a lot of hip-hop artists illustrate.
Location Image with codes and conventions
This is my location that i will be using as a back ground to take a photo of my model. I chose this location because it's quite urban which is conventional to my genre. The shed isn't in very good condition, and I feel this is conventional to the genre because it's quite rough which is how the artists express themselves.

BODY COPY/ARTICLE.
Conventions - I wrote this based off of an interview with my artist. The interview is exploring what it's like to be a hip-hop artist and how the artist deals with day to day life as a popular artist. It is conventional to hip-hop because it's quite hard hitting and realistic. Many hip-hop artists are quite open about their tough pasts, so I wanted to show this.

What made you
become a Hip-Hop artist?
When I was a
young boy, all I wanted to do was sing and be part of a band. On my 16th
birthday, my mum got me tickets to see Ili Commi, who was a Hip-Hop artist at
the time. Until that day, I’ve never looked back and always wanted to be in the
Hip-Hop scene or something to do with it. I also want to express my emotions
through my voice and singing.
Another reason
that I wanted to become a Hip-Hop artist was to prove how powerful the genre
was and I also wanted to express the way I feel about it through the way I play
and the emotion I show in the productions. I feel that this is very important
as I feel that not enough people know the real meaning of Hip-Hop. I also feel
that Hip-Hop isn’t as popular as the other genres and one of my aims is to
change this and make it more well known and more listened to, and hopefully I
can do this with my crew and make some songs that will attract audiences from
other genres.
Another reason
why I became a Hip-Hop artist is because I had a group of friends at school who
liked the type of music and I really feel that we bonded together through listening
to and playing this type of music.
How will you
make sure everyone is happy in their roles?
One thing that
I do want to make sure in the two years is that I am happy and my crew is as well,
because if someone is unhappy during the process then this will lead to them
being unproductive.
Where do you intend to be in 2 years?
For me, the most important thing that I
need to achieve is to be an established Hip-Hop artist. To achieve this, I need
to carry on working with my brilliant band who have been a vital part of my
success in the last 2 years and without them I wouldn’t be where I am now. In 2
years’ time, I would like to have the pleasure of doing a worldwide tour with
my crew and explore the world and see what Hip-Hop is like in different
countries.
In 2 years, I would like to be very well
known and be able to make a difference to people in the way I sing and present
myself. To make a difference to people would be the best achievement of my life
as all I want to do is make people happy and make more and more people love the
genre and this type of music.
I would also like to make my family proud and
my fans as well who I class as family.
Even though the question that I am being
asked is ‘where do you intend to be in 2 years’, I do feel that this project will take longer
than 2 years due to the complexity and all the stuff I need to go over as I
want to make this perfect with no mistakes .
