D1
The client provided me with three pieces of feedback that I shall discuss below.

After watching my video I feel that the client gave me back some very valuable feedback which then made me really think about my magazine idea , i thought he point was very useful about my colour code and it made me feel that i really need to have a hard think about the colours that i am using and if they are relevant, i also felt that his point about the font were also very useful as they made me completely change my mind as the font i used was good but wasn't really relevant.

However i do feel that some of his points were very valid but some of his points didn't make any difference to my choices e.g when he made a valid comment about my target audience , i feel that this is a suitable target audience for the genre however he did not agree and this did not change my opinion at all as i feel that is the right audience.

I do also feel he was very fair as he gave me some good points that i can also work with and expand on and improve my product itself.

I also thought one of the points made about the content of my magazine was very valid as i didn't really explain it well, however i cleared it all up and explained that its a bit of both and he understood.

Points that i will be taking onboard and using in the creation of my magazine:
  • Change font to suitable and relevant type
  • Change colour code as this didn't have anything to do with the genre
  • Make title bold or different colour.
''If its monthly then its going to be very difficult to get dates and time from pubs"- I feel that this piece of feedback is a very important point and have shown to me that I shouldn't be selling this monthly. This is because I was targeting mostly pubs and I very much doubt all pubs will know what they are doing in a months time and what time they will  be free. I feel this feedback is a very good piece of feedback and has allowed me to think about how often I'm going to be distributing it. I also feel this piece of feedback was really useful as i put this into action and after i was given this i changed it straight away and made sure i made my magazine weekly and not monthly due to it being very difficult to get the dates and times from the pubs. In order to develop my production further I have decided to distribute my magazine weekly - this will also gain more revenue and there is enough content to be able to produce a weekly magazine.

''Your mood board and font say two different things"- In this piece of feedback I completely agree with what's being said. Throughout my feedback that I got I was told to change my font types and from the feedback I have gotten on this I will definitely carry this out as I want my magazine to have visual impact and follow the codes and conventions of the Hip Hop genre. I feel this piece of feedback was very useful as when i went over my mood board and fonts that i used they were quite different so i made sure i sorted this out and if i didn't listen to this feedback then the message I'm trying to put across wouldn't work. In order to develop my production further I have changed my font.
I originally used the font 'Chequered Ink' and have changed it from looking at different fonts to 'American Captain'. I feel this is a better font to choose because it doesn't look as formal.

Old font with masthead

New font with masthead

''You should have more fonts to not make it repetitive"- I feel that this point is a very good point as If there is the same font throughout the whole magazine then it could turn very boring and may even lead customers to go and read and show their interest in another magazine. I think this piece of feedback is useful, however i will not be taking it on board due to me not agreeing with this piece of feedback entirely, as i feel that i have used the right number of font types to make my magazine non repetitive. I think that 3 fonts is quite a common convention of magazines and has a lot of visual impacts.
